Grumpy Mule Colombia Planadas …

Price: £6.60 - £5.50

Brought down from Planadas in Tolima, deep in the Cordilla central mountain ranges of the Andes, this kick-ass coffee delivers a sweet, smooth, and moreish cup that helps build brighter local futures. Expect vibrant notes of caramel and red fruits that take center stage, reflecting the unique character of its Colombian origin.
La Planadas has had its share of rough patches, but here’s the bright side – this specialty-grade coffee has been a game-changer. It has funded the construction of a testing lab that helps check and boost quality, putting more cash in the pockets of producers. Simple as that.
Roasted in Meltham, Yorkshire, Grumpy Mule coffee is all about stubborn attention to detail. With Roast 4, a medium-dark roast, this coffee strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and depth. We’re part of Cafédirect Group, a B Corp and social enterprise, which means we’re all about making a profit to make a real difference for coffee farmers.
All our coffee is 100% Fairtrade, ensuring farmers handle the ups and downs of growing coffee while supporting the local environment. Over half of our range is organic-certified, so we’re talking nature-friendly farming with minimal impact.
We’re also serious about cutting harmful emissions. With a science-based plan to hit net zero by 2040, Cafédirect Group is the only UK coffee company with such a target. Plus, we’re making strides toward a greener future with recyclable coffee packaging.
Great Coffee Shouldn’t Be Hard to Find. But frankly, it can be a right old fuss. That’s why we’ve done the hard work – high altitudes, best crops, and expert roasting – to make sure every sip is truly kick-ass.
